Please adjust the position of where the windows pop up. Implemented in Beta Phase 2 By dragging the window with your mouse you can change their starting position. Even with a gamepad, you can change the window position by using the game mouse mode, so please try this out.
Please add help messages for the party system, social lists, and player search. Addressed in Beta Phase 3 Along with the addition of linkshells in Beta phase 3, a help message for chatting will be added. We are hoping that players will get used to search features through those help messages.
Please add an explanation for the Armoury system when it is unlocked. Addressed in Beta Phase 3 We’re preparing a help message on changing classes when a character unlocks a new class. Also help messages on the Armoury Chest and Gearsets will be added in Beta phase 3.
Regarding the options on Active Help Windows, please change the text from “Never who this window again” to “Do not display help windows again.” Addressed in Beta Phase 3 We’ve changed this to “Disable all active help windows.” Note that this will disable all active help windows, and not just your current one.
When entering an instanced battle, please let us initiate the battle, or display the help window before we enter the instance. Addressed in Beta Phase 3 Starting from Beta phase 3, the active help window will be displayed before the player enters the instanced zone. We are also planning to add an active help window when the duty finder is released.
Please make it possible to read previous active help messages. Addressed in Beta Phase 3 Sorry for the long wait! Starting from Beta phase 3, you will be able to review the active help messages you have already seen. The list of help messages will be placed under the system menu.
Please implement an active help message on how to use food. Addressed in Beta Phase 3 Starting from Beta 3, a help message for item effects and their utility will be implemented. Also a help message explaining how to use items has been prepared.
Immediately after the game starts and the active help message appears explaining the controls, I tried pressing the start button on my gamepad since it’s supposed to bring up the micro menu, but it ended up closing the help window. Could you change this so that the window stays up until talking to Bertennant? Addressed in Beta Phase 3 In regards to the controller guide active help window that appears when starting the game, we’ve addressed this so that it does not automatically close unless a player intentionally closes it.
I think there should be an active help message explaining how to invite players to form parties and accept party invitations. Continuing to Address When the Duty Finder is released, we would like to see how much attention is given to party composition, and we will continue to look into having a special active help window for launch.
Please implement an active help message on how to recive an item from the loot. Continuing to Discuss We would like to decide on how to address this by continuing to look at feedback during Beta phase 3.
Please add more details to the help message regarding the attribute points that’s displayed upon reaching level 10. Continuing to Discuss In the future, we are planning to have an active help window for the status screen, and we are looking into having this show an explanation of the attribute effects and their meaning. We will continue to read feedback and make our final decision.
Please add a help message on how the contribution made during a FATE is calculated. Continuing to Discuss From Beta phase 3, the equation for the contribution will be changed. In Beta phase 2, only the damage to enemies were counted as contribution but it has been adjusted so that the hate from enemies will also be counted. We don’t have any plans to create a help message for this.
The active help message for gamepad mode is pretty barebones and I think it would be best to have a step-by-step tutorial for PS3 users. Working as Intended We intentionally made the gamepad mode help message simple and easy to understand because we didn’t want start things off overly complicated and make the player feel like they weren’t having fun while playing a game.
Please add an active help message that explains equipment statuses. Working as Intended If we overburden players with too many help messages, then players may feel that they are forced to read text non-stop so don’t have any plans to introduce an active help message on this.
Please implement an active help message that explains the aggro lines that appear when mousing over an enemy. Working as Intended If we overburden players with too many help messages, then players may feel that they are forced to read text non-stop so don’t have any plans to introduce an active help message on this.
Please implement a help message on weakness status, which the character receives when it gets KO’d. Working as Intended If we overburden players with too many help messages, then players may feel that they are forced to read text non-stop so don’t have any plans to introduce an active help message on this.
Please implement an active help message for enemy target lines. Working as Intended If we overburden players with too many help messages, then players may feel that they are forced to read text non-stop so don’t have any plans to introduce an active help message on this.
I feel like the font size and image size are too small for Active Help messages. Please increase their size. Working as Intended The font and image size have been created while keeping in mind players who will be playing on low resolution.
Please implement a help message on Friendlist and Search under the Social menu. Working as Intended Active help windows are designed to display the minimum amount of information needed in order to play FFXIV. Since social interaction is an additional element to the game, we have not included an active help window for this. If there is too much information, then players may feel that they are forced to read text non-stop while they play the game.
Please add a help message on how enemies detect and on hate control. No Plans to Address We don’t have any plans to create a help message with specific details on monster hate. We feel that it would be better to learn it by actually playing the game.
Please add a help message for Levequests when they are unlocked. No Plans to Address When talking to the quest giving NPCs in each guild when you are under level 10, they will encourage you to first go level up. Any information aside from this will be displayed in the class change active help window. Also, in Beta phase 3, we have added the Armoury Chest active help window to be displayed at the same timing as the class change active help window.
Please implement help messages that give more precise explanation on how to talk to other players and UI settings. No Plans to Address If we overburden players with too many help messages, then players may feel that they are forced to read text non-stop so don’t have any plans to introduce an active help message on this.
